Every tour we arrange is private: your party only, a licensed Florence guide, pre-booked timed entries, and a route built around what you want to see rather than a fixed script. What “private” means here
It is a word that has been worn thin by marketplaces, so it is worth being precise. A private tour with us means four things: no one else joins you; the guide holds a Tuscan regional licence, which is a qualification and not a job title; the route is written for you after a conversation, not chosen from a menu; and the price is fixed and all-inclusive — guide, timed entry, reservation fees, and any transport in the itinerary.
What it also means, in practice, is that the tour can change while it is happening. If a room captures you, you stay. If the group is tired, you stop for coffee and pick it up afterwards. That flexibility is the thing guests notice and it is impossible with sixteen strangers.

How much does a private tour of Florence cost?
It depends on the tour, the number of guests and the museum entries involved, so we quote rather than list. Every quote is fixed and all-inclusive — guide, timed entry, reservation fees and any transport — with nothing to pay on the day. Planning and revisions cost nothing.
How far in advance should I book?
Four to eight weeks for May, June, September and October; two weeks from November to February. The limiting factor is almost always the timed museum slot rather than the guide.
Are your guides licensed?
Yes. Every guide holds the Tuscan regional guide licence, which is required by law to guide inside Florence’s museums and monuments. Unlicensed “storytellers” cannot legally take you into the Uffizi.
Can you arrange transport as well?
Yes — private drivers and vehicles for day trips, airport and station transfers, and collections from villas outside the city. Florence’s centre is inside a camera-enforced limited traffic zone, so a driver who knows it matters.
What if our plans change?
Tell us as early as you can and we rebuild the itinerary. Museum slots are the only genuinely rigid element, and even those can often be moved with notice.
Do you take large groups?
We work best with two to eight people. Larger family groups are arranged with more than one guide so nobody is straining to hear; note that the museums themselves add a surcharge above ten people.
